Instructional Design Project Reflection In this course of LDT 502-Design and Development of Instruction, the process of creating an instructional design was challenging. The process and revisions allowed us to implement the expectations of our professor. We were given feedback to develop a thorough step by step process for our target learners to follow. In doing so, we were able to provide a better understanding of our project content. The revision would also allow our learners to understand the instructional objective. We also had to include diverse ways of differentiating the content for learners. We had videos to share how to download DaVinci Resolve, to edit, export, and embed content to meet the expectations of our viewers. Being able to create clear instructions is important so that target learners do not get confused. We had to remember that effective, efficient, and engaging instruction helps to motivate our target learners. The goals of the outline, after making th...

LDT 502: WOL - My Goals As A Learning Designer Why am I here? One Short Term Goal : What do I hope to accomplish by the end of this course? As I sit and reflect on what I want to accomplish, I think about the well-being of all students that I teach. Teachers continue to gain new knowledge of what is new in the technological world and to ensure enriched learning for all students. We want to continue to be coordinated with programs and in accordance with standards to meet educational programs aligned with Navajo culture and language. I need to have knowledge to be effective and a highly educated teacher for future generations to come. I would like to continue to gain knowledge on the systematic process of designing and developing instruction. I want to be able to gain a deeper understanding of what is entailed with effective and targeted learning. It will help me to learn to apply my teachings and what I learn into the classroom I teach. It will also help me to be a better ...

Through this course of LDT 501, I am gaining knowledge and understanding about the meaning of Learning/Instructional Design and Technology, along with what it entails. Learning Design, to me, is the process of creating effective learning experiences that facilitate the application of knowledge and skills to keep learners engaged. Learning objectives are considered along with content, instructional strategies, and assessment methods to design experiences that optimize learning outcomes, goals, and objectives of instruction, designing and planning assessment tasks are crucial. Being able to communicate, collaborate, use creativity, and have empathy are great skills for LDIT. Through the live video content by our Professor Leanna Archambault, I resonated and thought about the quote she shared by Reiser and Dempsey (2001): ID is a “systematic process that is employed to develop education and training programs is a consistent and reliable fashion.” This is a quote ...

Hi Everyone! :) I believe that as an educator I need to continue to enhance my skills and knowledge in Learning Design and Technology. There are continuous changes occurring in the education field which requires for me to stay in sync with the world of technology. I am learning more about the importance of implementing processes and knowledge into my current field as a Kindergarten Teacher. In the course I am currently enrolled LDT 501, I continue to gain insight of what the meaning is of a Learning Design and Technology. E. D. Wagner (2021) stated: The role of a learning designer has continued to evolve to make room for emergent technologies and frameworks. Always the goal has been to design the most effective learning using all theories, processes, or technologies at our disposal. In the modern version of the field, there are simply more of these theories, processes, and increasingly advanced technologies to assist us. Understanding how various design disci...

As I reflect back to my first entry on my Blog about where I stand in regard to Roger’s Diffusions of Innovation Curve, I feel that I continue to fall on the scale of the Early Majority. I continue to adopt new ideas before the average person depending on research and feedback from others in making my decision. I feel that it is important to embrace the ever-moving technological world especially as an educator. We continuously have professional development and trainings to enhance our technology skills and implement various learning platforms to analyze student progress which entail the use of Common Core Standards. It allows us to guide students in the use of technology and how to manipulate learning programs to their understandings. There are many topics that entail and are incorporated within this course. Below I will share information on what I have learned on this course thus far. I worry about how we lag in the use of technology on the Navajo reservation...

In the readings from Unit 1 of Roger’s Diffusion of Innovation Theory, I believe that I fall in the area of Early Majority. I will see that something will work or have seen the work of new technology and find out as much information as possible to take on what I can learn and apply new technologies into the classroom. I think about how I can integrate the innovative technologies to engage students and introduce them to something new. I think about the ways that technology use is encouraged in education and continue to find new ways to facilitate teaching students. I want to continue to apply new knowledge in the educational settings in which I teach. I feel that being a teacher requires new knowledge in all areas to be effective and in the realm of what we continue to learn for future generations to come. As a lead teacher, I am expected to be able to apply new teachings of technology into the classroom and to be able to share the information and technological program use wit...
