WOL-I'm On the Curve

  In the readings from Unit 1 of Roger’s Diffusion of Innovation Theory, I believe that I fall in the area of Early Majority. I will see that something will work or have seen the work of new technology and find out as much information as possible to take on what I can learn and apply new technologies into the classroom. I think about how I can integrate the innovative technologies to engage students and introduce them to something new. I think about the ways that technology use is encouraged in education and continue to find new ways to facilitate teaching students. LDT-503: U3: Signature Assignment Checkpoint and ACE instructional visual

During my research I thought about how the students would be able to use visuals in my class while ensuring that it is a learning experience with pictures and simple explanations. I wanted to be able to take into consideration that the students have a short attention span. The visuals shared allowed me to take into consideration that the students I teach are young. I wanted to use colors, simple words, and engaging images. The challenge that I had was being able to apply what I wanted to share in a kid friendly infographic. Ensuring that I use Adobe, which I recently learned how to manipulate, allowed for me to create my visual for the students. Being able to add arrows to my picture helps students to see that there is a beginning to ending point with sequential steps to share information about the life cycle of a butterfly.   Introduction As I reflect on my growth as an evaluator through the LDT 506 course, I am reminded of the importance of continuous self-assessment and reflection in professional development.
