LDT 506: Evaluator Competencies Reflection

Evaluator Competencies Reflection As I reflect upon my self-assessment in the LDT 506 : Evaluator Competencies Self-Assessment, I found it crucial to evaluate my current standing as an evaluator. On a scale from one to six. I would place myself at level four. This indicates that I possess understanding of evaluation practices but still have room for growth. Through this self-assessment, I have drawn several conclusions regarding my strengths and weaknesses. One of my key strengths lies in my ethical practice and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds. LDT 523: A Vision for 2035- The Online and Blended Learning of the Future

As we navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of education, the emergence of new technologies and methodologies presents both challenges and opportunities. In considering the future of online and blended learning, particularly as we approach 2035, it is essential to reflect on the transformative potential of technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and the influence of global collaboration. This blog post explores what online and blended learning may look like in 2035, drawing on insights from emerging technologies, course content, and personal experience.   The pandemic played a crucial role in my decision to gain better knowledge and experiences to enhance what I already know. LDT 523: Defining On-line and Blended Learning

I would like to reflect on what I have learned about online and blended learning. Through this program I have gained new knowledges with information on these two types of learning. Unit two shares that your target audience has access to the internet. Some technologies are often used because they’re convenient or available, while others are used because they’re “cool” or “Cutting edge” (LDT Module 2, Feb 2022). What is described as “online education” involves many different uses of technology to facilitate learning (McPherson, M.S, & Bacow, L.S., 2015). Students participate in learning activities remotely and accessible at any time. It can be synchronous (live classes) or asynchronous (pre-recorded. My Position on the Diffusions of Innovation Curve: Early Adopters

In the context of the Diffusions of Innovation Curve, I identify myself as an  Early Adopter . This position reflects my initiative-taking approach to integrating innovative technologies and educational methodologies into my teaching practice. In the readings of module one, it states that there are five categories of Roger’s Diffusion of Innovation. Early Adopters occupy the next 13.5% of individuals to adopt an innovation. This percentage is smaller than the Early Majority, Late Majority, and the Laggards.   As an Early Adopter, I am not only open to innovative ideas, but also willing to experiment with them to enhance learning outcomes for my students. This inclination stems from my belief in the transformative power of technology in education and my desire to remain at the forefront of pedagogical advancement. As a teacher, I need to apply new knowledge gained from professional development opportunities to effectively teach all diverse learners. One specific ex...

Reflection on Learning Design and Technology in Education

As we embark on the journey of creating engaging and impactful learning experiences, the exploration of key principles and tools in the realm of learning design has been a transformative process. In this comprehensive reflection, I will share insights and lessons learned from our study of Mayer's principles, Twine, Storyline 360, and the POUR (Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust) principles, and how they can be implemented to craft learning materials that truly resonate with learners. This journey in this course has been the most challenging yet rewarding course from which I have learned. The amount of information and manipulation of learning tools was beyond what I have ever expected. My discovery of being a novice learner in learning design has challenged me beyond imaginable. The knowledge gained is amicable. I applaud all who have immaculate knowledge in the realm of Learning Design and Technology. Tim Slade (2020) shares that what we realize is that learning ...
